The New Zealand film industry is pop-up. Specialists come out of the woodwork to create great cinema together, then everyone slinks back to their ‘real’ job. Add to that the often vast travel between locations, and tight filming schedules, and the logistics can be mind-boggling.

Rallying the troops was always a mission.

Cue QuickCrew. When New Zealand film industry stalwart Brian Kassler hatched his plan for QuickCrew, there was nothing in the world like it. So he asked Springload to make it happen.

QuickCrew is an online hub of booking services and information, including a national database of industry talent, a calendar to show crews’ availability, individual profiles and CVs.

Brian’s initiative has created an online community that connects international production companies with kiwi crews and facilities. It’s comprehensive and simple to use and best of all, it’s quick.
