Webstock Wall

The average Webstocker may be forgiven for expecting to see a real ape as they meandered through west court halls during Webstock lunch breaks. For that is indeed what Springload had invited them to see;

"Hey Webstocker, come and contribute to Springload's wall of art. Think of a couple of words, write them on the magnets below, and stick them to our wall. Then sit back and watch Crotpants, our illustrating monkey transform your ideas into a magnificent growing artwork."

For two days Webstocker's had their own illustrating monkey connected by magical wires directly to their ideas. And he would draw whatever they wanted.

Standing at the base of a large magnetised wall like a hair standing on it's end, was Crotpants, armed and ready with a pocketful of white- tipped markers. Finely forming line after line he was attracting Webstockers as though he was magnetised himself. They reveled at the chance to have their words be turned into art and this was never more apparent than during the Thursday night cocktail party. The bowl of blank magnets was left out and it disappeared like an antelope carcass to the lions at feeding time.

Words were added high and low, left and right, and it was with these words that the wall became even more attractive.
