With more than 15 years’ experience spanning start-ups to some of Aotearoa’s biggest names, he fuses storytelling and data to build brands and create future-fit digital experiences that deliver impact. With a unique mix of creative flair and commercial focus, he turns bold ideas into business results.

Mike has shaped award-winning brands, campaigns and digital ecosystems for clients like the NZ Symphony Orchestra, Whittaker’s, Z Energy, and Kinross Wines. Before joining Springload, Mike spent 16 years at AQKA (formerly Heyday and Wunderman Thomson), where he built both the content and strategy practices across Auckland and Wellington. Following that, he led the virtual experience design for APEC NZ and worked as a freelance strategist, before leading brand and creative at EdTech scale-up Education Perfect.

Born in Palmerston North and raised in Wellington, Mike now lives in Paremata. When he’s not designing strategies, you’ll find him drumming, reading widely, or teaching his 9-year-old pug Stevie the most basic of commands.
