A profile image of Daniel Foster Daniel thrashing his drumsticks

Daniel thrives at the tricky end of the problem spectrum — the unusual ones, the ones others might sidestep. As a full-stack developer, he works end to end, building the server-side software and APIs that power seamless user experiences, while being equally at home across the front-end.

Daniel came up through Massey University in Palmerston North, graduating with a Master of Engineering in Mechatronics with Distinction. He went straight into Wrybill Robotics, where he taught himself web development on the job, including building the remote control interface for a fleet of substation inspection robots (operated via Xbox controller, naturally). He went on to Ten14, where he worked on cutting-edge sports analytics software.

Born and raised in Palmerston North, Daniel is a multi-instrumentalist muso. He’s recorded in a professional studio, has a track on Spotify and his face even appears on a Shihad single cover. When he's not bashing the drums, he's smashing it on the squash court, where he's competed at national level for over two decades.
